Classes

Class Policies: Our classes are technique oriented, but allow you to explore your creativity and have some fun! All classes require pre-registration. Class fee is $20.00 per person unless otherwise indicated. Non-Refundable deposit of one half of the class fee is required at the time of pre-registration. Deposits will be applied to a future class, if cancellation is required due to inclement weather. Materials lists are provided upon registration. Students must purchase materials before class begins. A 10% discount is given on all materials purchased for a class. Classes are usually limited to 8 participants to insure personal attention for each student. Class may be cancelled if fewer than four students register. Classes begin at 6:30pm unless otherwise noted.

If you are unable to attend one of Bead Crazy's regularly scheduled classes, private lessons are available through the store. Please call (802)288 - 9666 to setup your own private lesson!

CLASS SCHEDULE- Fall, 2008

BEAD THERAPY: Join us the first Monday of every month for free Bead Therapy. Bring a project you are working on, or begin a new one. Store will be open from 7:00-9:00pm just for you. Come as you are; feel free to bring your own wine. Goodies will be provided.
     October 6, 2008 - Wine Charm Demonstration
     November 3, 2008 - Rosette Earring Demonstration
     December 1, 2008 - Finish up your Holiday projects
     January 5, 2009 - No Bead Therapy - See you in February!

Basic Beading: This class provides a basic overview of stringing materials, types of beads, findings, tools, design and finishing techniques. You will make a bracelet to take home. Fee is $20.00, plus bracelet materials.

Wearable Art Hop-Project #1-Handbag: Join us on either Saturday and make a great handbag while you learn multiple crafting techniques...you will sew, felt, bead and make fimo buttons! You will cut, sew and line a wool bag with June at Sew Many Treasures starting at 9:00am, then you'll "hop" on over to the Northeast Fiber Arts Center and Jennifer will teach you to make wet felted flowers. After Lunch, you will "hop" on down to join Kristin at Artists Medium to make a fimo button to close the bag, and "hop" to Bead Crazy where Ginger will add beads for surface design and embellishment.

Bugle Spiral Rope: This is a beautiful rope bracelet made using bugle beads and seed beads. It has a peyote stitch clasp. You will want one in every color.

Knotting: Knotting is used for precious gems and fine pearls to evenly space them and to prevent loosing all of the beads when a piece breaks. Come and learn the lost art of hand knotting. Class will begin at 5:00pm.

Hammer Happy: Learn to make S clasps, swirl earrings and flat earrings. We will have hammers and bench blocks for you to use. Class will begin at 6:00pm. Fee is $25.00.
